Staff and Office Tour | ART Orthodontics | Davie Fl
I began orthodontics in 1994, and became a certified assistant in 1997. I assisted for many years, but my passion was educating patients with my years of orthodontic knowledge and experience to help coordinate their treatment. It’s so rewarding to witness and be part of each patient’s orthodontic journey.
I have the pleasure of meeting and working with new patients. My goal is to help each patient achieve that new smile by helping them understand their orthodontic treatment options and create a payment plan that is affordable to fit their financial needs. I love seeing our patients smile! I am also bilingual which allows me to communicate and answer any questions or concerns for those in need.
On a personal note, I was born in Cuba and moved to NY when I was 9 years old. My family and I moved to sunny Florida in 1997. I am married to my high school sweetheart for 35 years and I have two amazing daughters. I enjoy traveling (give me the tropics), snorkeling, dancing, watching movies (give me the drama), and a good laugh with the company of family and friends.
Originally from the Dominican Republic and moved to the US four years ago, she received her degree in general dentistry in 2004 and her post-graduate degree in orthodontics and dentofacial orthopedics in 2008. She trained at two internationally recognized Universities in the Dominican Republic and has a strong background in dental and orthodontic patient care of all ages. As our dental assistant, she is dedicated to ensure patients always feel comfortable, safe, and well informed during their visits.
To her, there is nothing more rewarding than working alongside Dr. Khatami and her team and witness how the art of orthodontics transforms not only smiles, but live. She is fluent on both English and Spanish, and loves working with children and to help them overcome their anxieties by educating and involving them in the process in a fun way. When not at work, she is with her family and doing her best as a mother to her 5 year old daughter.
